I’m a 25 year old Undergraduate Student studying Construction Management at the University of Technology Sydney. Currently in my 2nd year, I work part-time as a floor plan drafter for real estate agents across Sydney.
What I love about the Construction Industry:
Although very much a cut-throat industry, my attraction stems from the amazing technological progresses made within the industry, and the continual pushing of boundaries with what previously thought to be impossible. Now add a certain degree of reliance on mathematics, physics, logical thinking and common sense, I feel that this is an industry I’m well suited for despite it’s volatility.
What I do with my spare time:
On weekends, I’m almost always out fishing the different waterways with my best mates. I find that this is one of the best ways to enjoy Sydney. Apart from travelling to University and working, weeknights are spent playing Futsal (Indoor Soccer) around Ryde, Eastwood, and Homebush. Over past two years, I would spend the holidays travelling in South-East Asia, experiencing different cultures as well as observing the local construction scene. All this whilst sampling some of the most exotic foods in the world. At the end of 2014, I’m planning to fly over again, only this time for longer!
